Fall Leaf Collection App

2017 Fall Leaf & Yard Debris Collection

**** PLEASE NOTE  - AS OF MONDAY, 12/4/2017 ****

Due to the late timing of leaves falling this season, Town crews will continue to collect leaves as needed; use our Leaf Collection app to see when crews will be in your neighborhood.

Town Yard Debris collection has ended. However, if you currently have yard debris in reusable containers or paper bags that still needs to be picked up, Town crews will extend a one-time courtesy pick-up for residents. Please call the Town Highway Department at 248-6270 to arrange for this pick up.

Each year beginning in October and ending in December, the Town of Pittsford provides a valuable recycling service to residents – the collection of leaves along with our ongoing collection of yard debris from May to December. In the fall, a postcard containing program guidelines, service dates and descriptions is mailed to homeowners. If you have questions or concerns about this program, please call the Town of Pittsford Highway Department at 248-6270.

LEAF COLLECTION

Collection dates: October 16 – December 1

  • Our crews will be in your neighborhood approximately every two weeks to collect loose leaf piles. Consolidating small piles of leaves into larger piles will help expedite leaf pick up. During this time, crews will continue to pick up yard debris every week if it is placed in a bag/container and separated from your leaf piles. It is important to keep leaves and yard debris separated, as yard debris can damage our leaf vacuum or cause injury to crew staff.  PLEASE NOTE that loose brush will not be picked up during this time but containerized debris will be (see Yard Debris section below for information).
